Ms. File-Barlow made a motion, seconded by Vice President McCollum, to accept
the Minutes of the May 25, 2011 Council Meeting, as submitted; motion carried.
Mr. Bull made a motion, seconded by Mr. Stamis, to adopt Resolution No. 1678,
acknowledging/honoring Parkside Elementary School Music Teacher, Douglas
Raines, as an “Outstanding Educator”; motion carried.
At this time in the meeting, President Purcival did turn the floor over to
Councilman Bull to present Mr. Raines with Resolution No. 1678. Mr. Raines did
thank Council for the honor.

The Secretary read a letter from John Pickett, Director of County of Delaware Office
of Housing and Community Development, informing the Borough that their application
for FY2011 CDBG Funds was denied.
The Secretary read an e-mail from Beverly Wright, the Donated Goods Manager at
Goodwill of Delaware and Delaware County. She offered Parkside Borough a
community pick-up service. The Secretary was requested to contact Ms. Wright to
find out specifics of the program.
