The Secretary read a letter from PENDOT, Bureau of Municipal Services,
informing the Borough that they will receive State Police Fines and Penalties
payment in the amount of $819.03 via electronic payment on 6/1/10.
A letter was read from David Logue, the new owner of Laspada’s Original sandwich
shop at 2912 Edgmont Avenue. Mr. Logue requested Council allow him to keep the
current temporary sign outside of his business until he has the opportunity to
address Council regarding the importance of the sign to his business.
The Secretary read a letter addressed to Borough Council from resident Mary
Conlin of 130 E. Chelton Road. Ms. Conlin requested the twin house attached to
her property be boarded-up and the roof tarped to prevent further element damage.
The property being in disrepair is causing Ms. Conlin to have frequent rodent
sightings and is concerned for the welfare of her family and property.
Mr. Crilly, the owner of Crilly’s Car Cures, Inc. at 3005 Edgmont Avenue,
presented Council with copy of a letter he sent to PENNDOT and several political
leaders. The letter expresses Mr. Crilly’s concerns, with regard to safety, for the
poor job done recently on construction of new State-mandated ADA curb cuts on
his property.
Ms. Rachel Counts, the Borough’s Junior Councilperson, submitted her resignation
letter from her position on Council. Ms. Counts will be attending college in the Fall.
Council expressed their congratulations to Ms. Counts for her service and
dedication to the Borough of Parkside.
